How We Started

Parva Pups was started by Noah Forman, an annual visitor to La Parva. With the guidance of Michelle Loux, a La Parva resident, we are continuing to save the lives of countless street dogs. A few young ski racers who train in La Parva annually quickly adopted Michelle's mission and wanted to help her and the street dogs of La Parva. On a recent trip to La Parva the number of stray dogs was so plentiful you couldn't take a step on the road without seeing a hurt or starving dog. During the off-season, most of the strays die or are killed by ranchers or the stronger dogs looking for food. Young female dogs don't survive the offseason. When the Forman family was in La Parva three years ago they came up with one essential question... What can we do to help these dogs? Thus, Parva Pups was formally born.

Who We Are and What We Do

We are a Non-Profit organization rescuing street dogs from La Parva, Chile. In La Parva, Michele was on her own until we formed Parva Pups. Parva Pups now partners with Lucky Day Animal Rescue of Colorado to find homes in Aspen when we can't find homes with visiting athletes and coaches. Michele has spent thousands of her own dollars to provide essential veterinary care, spaying and neutering so the street dogs have a chance to survive and thrive outside of La Parva. Our mission also focuses on reducing births and working with local government to realize they have to help with this overwhelming tragedy.  Once the dogs we help have recovered we look for a home to foster and adopt. Our end goal is to find a loving home where past adoptees can sleep with both eyes closed and know they have a meal waiting for them in the morning.
